Medix FTP Service (the "Service") is designed to provide you with an easy way to transfer files relevant to the management of your case to Medix Medical Services Europe Limited ("Medix", "we" and "us").

 

The following terms and conditions together with the Medix Information Security Policy (which may be found at http://medix- europe.com/Information_Security_Policy.aspx) (together, the "Terms of Service"), form the agreement between you and us in relation to your use of the Service. You should read the Terms of Service carefully before agreeing to them. You acknowledge and agree that by clicking on the "Upload" button, you are indicating that you accept the Terms of Services and agree to be bound by them.

 

Using the Service

 

In order to use the Service, you will be required to log in by submitting your member number which was provided to you by the Medix staff, your name and e-mail address. Once you have logged in, you will be able to upload files to the Service. We will download your files to our system and no copy will be retained on the server used to provide the Service. For detailed upload instructions, please click here.

 

Protection of your information

 

We take the safeguarding of your information very seriously. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure of your information we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and administrative procedures to safeguard and secure the files you upload to the Service. However, no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic data storage is 100% secure and while we have put in place appropriate protections, we cannot guarantee the security of information you upload to the Service.

 

Quality and availability of the Service

 

While we make reasonable efforts to provide the Service, it is provided "as is" with no representation, guarantee or warranty of any kind as to its availability, functionality, that it will meet your requirements or that it will be free of errors or viruses.

 

We will not be responsible for any damage to your computer system or the computer system of any third party resulting from your use of the Services where such damage is caused by circumstances which are beyond our reasonable control.

Medical consultation

Corporate medical consultation for policy setting, and legal protection

Medix’ medical consultation is given to corporate and institutional groups, for the purpose of setting policies, legal protection, and urgent medical and health queries. Urgent requests will receive an answer within 24 hours.

 

Policy setting medical consultation 

Gathering a consultation on a fundamental medical issue, for example: comparing different techniques for prostatectomy, or determining whether hyperthermia therapy is an accepted or experimental treatment. Consultations are written by a reputable doctor specialising in the relevant field.

 

Medical Consultation for complex medical issues

A specialist will provide a medical consultation regarding specific cases. For example: consulting regarding an insured’s pre-existing condition, and his knowledge of such a condition, before joining the insurance policy. 

 

Consulting regarding medical treatments offered outside of the country

Providing a medical consultation by a relevant specialist, regarding specific cases in which international parties are involved.

 

Medical-legal consultation

This service is given exclusively to insurance companies, within the framework of the general services package. The consultation is given by a leading specialist working in the relevant medical field.

 

This service does not include participation in discussions, court preparations, or court appearances. Those services are available, if needed, for an extra cost. In addition, the service does not include psychiatric consultation. 

 

All of the services include:

Review of the medical files, and comprehensive evaluation of the medical case

Literature review, if needed

Consulting with additional specialist, in Israel and abroad, if needed

A justified consult, based on all of the above, in addition to the specialist’s abundant experience.
